La technique évoluant, les contraintes réglementaires et normatives se multiplient. Dominique Verbinnen découvre alors le management de la qualité à travers les travaux de Philip Crosby et le principe du « zéro défaut ». Séduit par ce concept, il se forme au management QHSE.
Au tournant du siècle, fort de ces nouvelles connaissances, il choisit de mettre ses compétences et sa vaste expérience industrielle au service des entreprises : il crée son cabinet conseil en QHSE et s’entoure de collaborateurs compétents.

Une reconnaissance en France : de l’audit d’excellence à l’audit de certification
Après une période très active en Belgique comme à l’étranger, il souhaite faire reconnaître ses compétences en France : il devient auditeur d’excellence pour le Mouvement Français pour la Qualité (MFQ) des Hauts-de-France.
En 2015, il se lance un nouveau défi : devenir auditeur de certification. Il est aujourd’hui reconnu à ce titre auprès de deux organismes de certification français.
L’entrée en vigueur du règlement européen sur la protection des données personnelles prolonge naturellement cette démarche. Dominique Verbinnen suit et réussit la formation de DPO (Délégué à la protection des données) à l’ICHEC Brussels Management School.
Il initie ensuite des collèges français au RGPD et devient auditeur de certification pour le « Label Engagement RGPD »
